Comments: In short, Prodigal Wasteland is my personal web project that showcases the results of my design and experimentation. It's name represents both the beautiful as well as the grim, a style I've tried to maintain throughout the site in its various iterations, reflecting a world torn by war and poverty, yet infused with the soul of art. Too be less pompous, this is my home on the web, and I thank you for your patronage.

It's certainly been a while! After a fun filled sophmore year, the boredom of summer settled in especially quick. Having little to do, and because V4 was desperately in need of replacement, I have returned with the fruits of my labor.

I showed this to my mom and she remarked that it looked like a concentration camp. My dad said it looks like a dumpster. I can't decide which one is more (less) flattering. Much of it is just stock photography manipulation, which I don't often do, but I'm pretty satisfied with what I've done. I'm especially proud of the splash page graphic.

As I start getting a little better with Photoshop I've started using its more advanced features like layer blending to accomplish cooler effects. My previous work tended to contain a lot of brushwork with custom brushes, and you can only go so far with that.

Also, I redid some of the HTML for this version to make it cleaner. I noticed how long-winded I tend to be, so I've taken the liberty to do some editing, if you'll pardon what might be construed as revisionist history. Anyway, in the spirit of keeping things brief, I'll stop here. Hope you enjoy version 5.
